Another Deer Mountain

Once again Deer Mountain is threatened by logging.
It never stops.  It's completely immoral in my opinion, just as drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge is immoral.  Greedy Alaskans, so addicted to their welfare checks that they want to destroy this beautiful state.  It makes me furious.

Pussy Willows

I was walking today and saw a bunch of trimmings from a Pussy Willow in the back of a pickup truck.  Spring is definitely arriving in SE Alaska.  I brought some sprigs home and did a quick little painting.

Virtual Paintout

I lived in the middle flat in 1963.  I was shocked I could find it on Google Maps.  It has been totally redone since I and my first husband lived there.

Golden Delicious

I enjoy doing these quick little still lifes in between struggling with tourist paintings.  My scanner doesn't seem to be doing very well with colors and I don't have a clue why.  Maybe I'll have to read something about the scanner, yuk.

this is a copy of a Robert Henri sketch.  I read he was a great influence on Edward Hopper and I am quite fond of him.
