For Studio Atelier

The photograph this time is three little sparrows.  I chose one of them.  I started painting it, and found it was starting to look like a chick, not a sparrow, so I quit that one and started over.  The next one was a lot better.  Painting the same thing twice is beneficial.

  1. This is a really good work Charlotte. I like the feeling that the sparrow is basking in the sunlight. I just don't have the sort of patience to do anything 'over' - maybe it's a process I should start working on.

  2. These are gorgeous, Charlotte! I'm with Anne; I don't do things over either. I know I should but patience isn't my long suit!

  3. I love your little bird. I have also done things over and over and over. Sometimes they end up better, sometimes not. Any way I love your work. Such a fun challenge isn't it.

  5. Aw, the chick is cute too! You and I decided on painting the same bird, though yours is much more realistic than mine is. I love the way one little foot curls under.
