For The Virtual PARTy

A racehorse for the Virtual pARTy blogspot, from a photograph by Kimberly Kelly Santini.

I did this on the ferry M/V Matanuska, traveling from Ketchikan, AK to Bellingham, Wa.  It is with pen and marker on the back of a calender that I cut up into sections.

  1. Wow, Charlotte! This has to be one of my favorite of your pieces! The unique perspective, the colors, the whole way you've handled this one. And on a calendar? Way to go green, my friend! LOL Seriously, I'm beginning to think that all papers are great for art in some form or another!

  2. This is fantastic Charlotte. You obviously know your subject matter as well. On the back of a calendar...? I would have sat on that ferry grizzling not having my 'right' materials with me and consequently would have produced nothing! Dead Impressed!!

  3. Thanks guys. Yes, sometimes I think it works out better (for me) to just do something with as few materials as possible. The deadline for that challenge was today and I was thinking I'd skip it, but then with all that time on my hands I thought why not?

  4. Great work -- on a ferry no doubt. Love the background colors.
