A picture of me on a wonderful little Icelandic Horse, named Wilnii, and another horse resting his upper lip against the hitching post :D. It is a beautiful place in British Columbia, with gracious hosts. I plan on going there again.
The tree is located on the southern end of Prince Rupert, BC, it was raining so hard I didn't want to get out of my car to photograph it.
The ground squirrel was photographed in Barkerville, a renovated mining town that is about 40 Kilometers past Prince George (south). It is sort of entertaining to go through it, I was there in 1969 before it was even developed, then again in 1991, and then yesterday, every time it is bigger and better.
This a scene done from a photograph taken by Julia Kay, the leader of Julia Kay's Portrait Party on Flickr. She took it in Inverness, California. The golden hills of California are definitely kissed by the sunny sun. I used to live in California, now I live in rainy SE Alaska, so I love looking at the lovely hills of California. This is Barbara Luel and Margarita Perez Garcia, two artists of Julia Kay's Portrait Party. They are hosting a meet up in Brussels, Belgium in September. I am going to attend, it will be fun to meet the artists that I have painted and that live in Europe. This portrait was done in photoshop.
The sun was out yesterday for the first time in a week, so a group of us women hiked up a mountain. This is a picture of my feet as I was resting halfway back down. Many of the hikes here are on boardwalks as the muskeg is so wet that a person can not really "walk" in them. I am lying on the boardwalk, it was very comfortable after 4 miles of stairs :D. The whole hike was 8 miles long.
