Hiking to Perseverance Lake

Oh dear, I'm trying out the "new" format, and already I've messed up my template by deleting things I want, and adding the tripadvisor map that I don't really want.  One of these days I'll spend some hours trying to figure it out :-(.

These are pictures that I took yesterday.  It quit raining, so some friends and I hiked up to a lake for an outing in the forest.  The dog is named Maeby, and I "borrow" her for hikes.  The fellow is the son of a friend of mine, and he was coming up as we were coming down.  His name is Harold.

Two Deer Mountains

These were done in the program Corel Painter, from a photograph I took of Ketchikan's Deer Mountain. I forgot I had that program.  But when installing an update to Word I noticed it and decided to fiddle with it,  I was pleased with the results.  The top photo is with the Impressionist brush, the bottom is with the Classic Oil brush.  Aren't the writers of these programs amazing?

Traveling through British Columbia

Heading north, back to Ketchikan.  The farther north I go, the more autumn it becomes.  I passed a nice black bear grazing alongside the road.  He or she didn't mind that I stopped and took his picture, and this beautiful lake with the reflection.  Tomorrow I board the ferry that takes me to Alaska.
