Petersburg, Alaska

I took the ferry North to the town I lived in 25 years ago, Petersburg, Alaska.  I'm visiting with a friend while her husband is on a trip to Seattle, Washington.  It is a beautiful place, but I'm glad I moved "south".  They have a lot more snow than we do in Ketchikan.  However I still know almost everybody I see on the street :D.

Kayaking

Went Kayaking in the Okefenokee Swamp, which is located in southern Georgia.  Went with a group from Adventures in Good Company, which specializes in women only travel groups.  Had two wonderful guides.  One, Anne Brewer, can be reached at her website if you click on the link at the title of this post.  She leads tailored tours of the Adirondacks in New York State.  The other guide, Pam, just works for Adventures in Good Company.  Both were wonderful guides and capable ladies.  The swamp itself was beautiful.  We saw alligators, and all sorts of birds.  It was a marvelous trip.
