Done from a photograph posted on the Rookiepainter challenge blog. I was going to give up the Challenge Blogs, but I'm a sucker for pears. This is done on construction paper, with acrylics and colored pencils. 12x24".
I did this from a photo that my young friend took of me when we were in Manitoba, hiking in the wet snow. I couldn't believe my ugly expression, and just felt it had to be painted. Hah, I'm weird that way. :D :D. I had just picked myself up after having stepped through the crust up to my hip.
It's on taped together construction paper, with acrylics mixed with poster paint over pastels.
Water Soluble oil crayons on paper. Boy I'm out of practice, I didn't do any sketching or art while I was gone :-(, but I did ride a horse and have a massage :D.
stopping Sam, a sweetie horse.
Flying back into Ketchikan, fog hung over our airport, the pilot made two passes he had to abort, he then circled for about 45 minutes until it finally cleared off enough that he could see to land. I was afraid we were going to have to go on to Juneau and fly back. But we didn't, thank heaven, I'd had to spend the night in the airport as the flight from Chicago was late and I missed the connection the night before, flying is soooo exciting.
Water soluble oil crayons on taped together construction paper of Flickr artist M. Lewandowski. I loved her photographs, she had a bunch of totally fun ones.
In other news, this blog has had its password stolen twice now, and then the e-mail associated with it has sent spam to everybody in its address book. I do not know how this happens, but I'm glad gmail catches it quickly and locks me out and makes me change my password, props to them. However I do know that I will no longer just leave the blog "open" anymore, I'll sign off when I leave. Just a word to you folks.
