A huge Skunk Cabbage Leaf

Yesterday was so balmy it felt like California.  I went for a hike and saw this Skunk Cabbage leaf, it is almost 4 feet long.  It is one of the biggest leafs I've seen this year.

For Studio Atelier

I worked it to death but it's okay.  The pic doesn't do it justice :(
Done on construction paper with acrylics, poster paint, and pastels.  I then went on to make a big mess of it, but had a lot of fun. :D

For Julia Kay's Portrait Party

I just returned from Sweden, where I was riding horses on Olle Forsell's farm.  It was wonderful, Sweden is a beautiful country.  Now I'm back in Alaska with the cruise ships, trying to keep awake in the the middle of the day.  Coming back is always so much harder than going over, I wonder why that is????

I missed having paper and paints, but did do stuff on my iPod which I will not post here.  My entry today is a warm up portrait for Julia Kay's portrait party, of a Swedish artist named Nika.
