I was recently in Pensacola, Florida for a JKPP meetup. The beaches are wonderful, long white sand beaches. I had a good time leaving dark, rainy, Alaska, to walk along the beautiful beach. I took this picture of a ball of something that washed in and tweaked it with the app ShockMyPic. The water was also warm enough to swim in comfortably. Heaven!
This is Sallysnail1, a fellow JKPP artist, done with phony Neopastels, on canvas paper. I ordered the Neopastels over Amazon, they were a much better price than I expected, and I got what I paid for, the knock offs look amazingly real in
everything but the quality. They crumble and break, nothing at all like the real thing. That will teach me that if it's too good to be true, as the saying goes.....
Colorado Gold, done on construction paper with pastels. I have just driven through British Columbia and all their Poplar, Alder, and deciduous trees were brilliant yellow also, so this photograph really spoke to me.
These were done with neocrayons on construction paper from a photo I took while hiking. They are of some Salmon berries that are not quite ripe. The bushes were blue, and several different colors of green, it was a really pretty picture out in nature.
This was drawn from a screen shot I took off the web cam on the link in my title. It is really neat to see the bears, or bear standing in the river in Katmai National Park, trying to grab spawning salmon for a meal. I start feeling sorry for the bears when it seems like they go for so long without getting any.
